Your Child's First Visit
Your child’s first dental visit should be scheduled around their first
birthday.
During this visit our primary goal is to develop a one-on-one relationship of trust and cooperation with your child. We will review your
child's health history, perform a complete oral exam, cleaning of teeth, take x-rays if
needed, and complete a fluoride treatment.
If your child's first visit with us is due to a referral from another dentist, please note that no dental treatment will be completed on the first visit. We will need to perform a complete exam and possible x-rays to determine the best course of treatment for your child. You should bring a copy of any x-rays that were taken at the referring dentist.
A parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of the first visit. If it is not possible, please send legal documentation (a signed note from a parent or from a
legal guardian giving consent for all dental treatment).
